Auction Sheets
For those that have experience with procuring JDMs, it is definitely not your first time seeing an auction sheet. Regardless of your familiarity with Japanese, these sheets will use letter and number indicators that give us an idea as to the history and "status" of the car. This page is intended to help those interested to navigate and understand more about these auction sheets.
About Scoring
You will find these "Grades" for vehicles on every auction sheet. They can appear different depending on what auction your car is being purchased from; we will include a few examples.
One other thing to note is that these grades can be subject to human error; a vehicle that has been submitted the first time may not have a scratch discovered until the second time it is submitted to auction, for example. Different auction sites are also known to hire different inspection parties, for example TAA (Toyota Auto Auction) is known to have some of the strictest inspectors working at their auction sites.

The Condition Map
Condition maps for vehicles are generally found on the bottom-right side of each auction sheet. It will display a car diagram that is accompanied by letters and numbers written down by the inspector for that week's auction.
The following information will show a condition map example with the translations, along with a table to further explain other condition indicators that are used within auction sites.

スリA Indicative of a light abrasion, commonly found under bumpers.
トビA Found on windshields, this is indicative of a light chip caused by kicked up gravel; repairable.
C3 The letter C is indicative of corrosion. The number indicates the severity, 3 being the size of a soccer ball.
XX This indicates a part replacement; on this car, the back left quarter panel has been swapped out.
